Prime Minister Tarique Rahman unveiled a commemorative postage stamp on Sunday at his office in the Bangladesh Secretariat to mark National Rural Development Day. The initiative, themed “Developed Rural Areas, Prosperous Country, Bangladesh First,” highlights the government’s commitment to fostering grassroots economic progress.

According to Deputy Press Secretary Md. Sujauddoula, the release includes a 10-taka commemorative stamp, along with a corresponding inaugural envelope and a 5-taka data card. These items serve as official markers of the day’s significance in promoting the nation’s rural development agenda.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, State Minister Mir Shah-e-Alam, and Secretary of the Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Ministry Shahidul Hassan.
