Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Hospitalized in Dhaka

Minister of Power and Energy Iqbal Hasan Mahmud has been admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in Dhaka after falling ill. The minister was admitted to the facility at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Abdullah Kayes, the minister’s personal assistant, confirmed the hospitalization. According to Kayes, the minister had been suffering from fever, cold, and cough symptoms since Tuesday evening.
He was initially brought to the emergency department of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital at approximately 10:30 p.m. before medical staff subsequently transferred him to the CCU for further observation and treatment.
