Patuakhali Teenagers Missing Since Trip With Aunti Found in Gazipur

Police have rescued four teenage girls who mysteriously disappeared from Bauphal Upazila in Patuakhali four days ago. They were found in the Konabari Mouachak area of Gazipur on Wednesday evening.
The father of one of the missing girls confirmed the rescue via mobile phone, stating that his daughter and the three other girls were found around 6:30 p.m. and subsequently taken to Kaliakair police station. “We were in extreme anxiety for four days. Now that my daughter and the other three have returned, we feel a great sense of relief,” he said.

According to Sirajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bauphal Police Station, the teenagers were located with the assistance of information technology. Preliminary investigations suggest the girls left home without informing anyone, intending to work in garment factories. They subsequently rented a house in the Konabari area. Their presence came to the attention of the police while they were preparing their resumes for job applications. The OC added that police are speaking with the girls to gather further details.
The four girls had left their homes on Sunday, reportedly to attend school, and did not return. Their disappearance had caused significant concern in the community, leaving their families and relatives anxious.

Following their disappearance, the guardians of the four teenagers filed a general diary (GD) at Bauphal Police Station on Sunday night. Three of the missing girls are seventh-grade students, and one is an eighth-grade student. Three of them attend the same educational institution, while the fourth studies at a neighboring school.
