“Not Party Loyalty, Police Will Follow Law”

Prime Minister Tariq Rahman has made a clear announcement that the police will not be loyal to any party, but will be managed according to existing laws. On the occasion of ‘Police Week 2026’, Tarek Rahman said these words at the Police’s ‘Welfare Parade’ organized at Rajarbagh Police Lines Auditorium in the capital on Sunday. Several police officers who were present at the closed-door event told Prothom Alo this information.
