Motorcyclist killed by bus in Banani, drugs recovered

Shahadat Hossain, a rider of a ride-sharing motorcycle, was killed when he was hit by a bus in Banani area of ​​the capital. The motorcyclist was seriously injured in the same incident.

The accident happened in front of Banani Setu building around 4:30 pm on Sunday. The injured motorcyclist Bappi was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital.

Banani Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faridul Islam said that the motorcyclist Bappi was going towards Tejgaon with passengers from in front of the airport railway station. At that time, a bus hit the motorcycle from behind and ran away. The driver and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.

The OC also said that passenger Shahadat Hossain died on the spot when the wheel of the bus ran over his head. The seriously injured driver was rescued and admitted to the hospital.

According to the police, a bag of marijuana was found at the scene. How much drugs were there is being verified. Apart from this, efforts are being made to identify the bus by collecting CCTV footage.
