Motorcyclist dies following accident on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway

A 32-year-old man died late Friday night following a motorcycle accident on the Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway in Lohagara. The victim, Abu Hena, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
The accident occurred around 8:00 p.m. near the old BOC area in the Amirabad union. Hena, a resident of the Hindu Hat area in Kalaujan union, had been traveling home with his two brothers after attending a wedding ceremony at a community center in Padua Bazar. According to local officials, Hena was riding as a passenger when the motorcycle lost control, causing him to be thrown from the vehicle.
Local ward member Md. Babul confirmed the fatality, stating that Hena was initially transported to a private clinic for emergency care before being transferred to the medical college hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
As reported by Prothom Alo, authorities at the Dohazari Highway Police Station were notified of the incident. Officer-in-Charge Salah Uddin Chowdhury stated that officers inspected the scene shortly after the crash but found no evidence or witnesses. No formal complaint has been filed with the police regarding the accident.
