Mosleh Uddin Ahmed is the new commissioner of DMP

The government has appointed Additional Inspector General of Police Mosleh Uddin Ahmad as the new Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). In a notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday, he has been informed about the appointment of commissioner.

Additional IGP Mosleh Uddin Ahmed of Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been transferred as DMP Commissioner, the notification said. This order issued in public interest will be implemented immediately.

Earlier on March 16, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed was appointed as Additional Inspector General (IGP) of Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID). He assumed this responsibility on March 25.

Mosleh Uddin Ahmad joined Bangladesh Police in 1995 through 15th BCS. Before being appointed to CID, he served as Additional IGP, Directorate of Logistics and Asset Acquisition, Police Headquarters. Apart from this, he served in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). Mosleh Uddin Ahmad also served as Superintendent of Police in various districts including Kushtia, Bhola and Sherpur. During his professional career, he served as a police officer in the United Nations African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur.
