Madrasa student accused of attempted rape, arbitration closed after protest, case against teacher

A case has been filed against a madrasa teacher in Raipura upazila of Narsingdi for attempted rape of a 10-year-old girl. The child’s mother filed the case at Raipura police station on Sunday.
The accused teacher’s name is Junaid Ahmad. She is a teacher in a girls madrasa in Raipura town. His house is in Chanderkandi Union of Upazila. He has been absconding ever since the incident came to light.
According to the statement of the case, the 10-year-old child was admitted as a resident student in that madrasa two months ago. Muhtamim Junaid Ahmad of the Madrasah tried to rape the child with his hands at around two o’clock in the night on April 24. The next morning, when the child felt acutely ill, he was sent to his aunt’s house in a neighboring area. When the aunt asked him about the cause of the illness, the child told the details of the incident. Later, the aunt called the child’s mother and father.
According to the victim’s mother, her daughter had fingernail marks on multiple sensitive parts of her body. He was treated at Upazila Health Complex. He wants justice for the teacher who did such an incident with his 10-year-old daughter.
According to several local sources, the local people were angry when the incident of attempted rape came to light yesterday. Later, the madrasa authorities tried to cover up the incident by arbitrating through local public representatives and leaders. However, the arbitration was closed in the face of local objections. At one point, the agitated people broke the shutters of the madrasa and demanded justice for the child rape attempt. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control and asked the victim’s family to lodge a complaint with the police station. Then the child’s mother filed a case at the police station yesterday.
It has been found that the accused Madrasahikash. Junaid Ahmad is the brother of Babul Bhuiyan, the founder of the madrasa. After the incident came to light, he helped Junaid to escape safely. Later, through local public representatives and leaders, he arranged to cover up the incident in exchange for money. But in the face of the objections of the locals, he could not hide in the end. Currently, Babul Bhuiyan is also in hiding.
Accused teacher Md. Multiple calls to the mobile numbers of Junaid Ahmad and madrasa founder Babul Bhuiyan were found to be switched off. Going to that madrasa, it is seen that the gate is locked, there is no one there.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Raipura Police Station. Mujibur Rahman said that the police was sent to the madrasa on the news of mediation to cover up the incident of child rape in exchange of money. The victim’s mother came to the police station yesterday and filed a case. An operation is underway to arrest the accused madrasa teacher.
