India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Mishri said that India is cautiously trying to activate more than 40 bilateral cooperation mechanisms that have been stalled for a year and a half after the interim government came to Bangladesh. He claimed that India has not supported any party in Bangladesh in ‘election engineering’ but has worked with all the governments. He said the relationship will be based on mutual respect and sensitivity. Regarding Sheikh Hasina’s stay in Delhi, Mishri said that no individual’s issue will affect Delhi-Dhaka relations.
