Electricity wires fell in Jurain’s accumulated rain water, the businessman died due to electrocution

Rain water was accumulated on the side of the road. Anwar Hossain (55) was walking through there. Suddenly he was electrocuted. Later he died while undergoing treatment.
The incident took place in the Rishipara area of Jurain of the capital on Tuesday around 12:30 PM.
Anwar Hossain used to trade books at Jatrabari in the capital. He lived with his family in a house of Shaheed Farooq Sarani in Jatrabari.
Anwar Hossain’s relative Taiyab Ali said that Anwar went to deliver the sacrificial animal to his brother-in-law’s house in Jurain. On his way back from there, he was electrocuted by the rainwater accumulated on the side of the road. There was a wire falling from an electric pole nearby.
Taiyab Ali said that Anwar was rescued and taken to a local hospital. When his condition worsened, he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (DMH) Hospital around 2:30. The doctor declared him dead.
Inspector of Dhaka Medical Police Outpost. Farooq said that the body of the person is kept in the mortuary of the hospital. The matter has been reported to the concerned police station.
