DU’s ‘momentary’ bus accident, several students injured

A bus carrying Dhaka University students met with an accident on the BFDC-adjacent elevated expressway in Tejgaon Shilpanchal Thana area of ​​the capital. Police said that at least 5 to 6 students were injured.

The accident took place when the bus got down from the expressway on the road adjacent to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) at around 8:30 am on Wednesday.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tejgaon Industrial Police Station Mahmudur Rahman told Prothom Alo that a BRTC double-decker bus (‘Kshanika’) carrying DU students was coming through the elevated expressway. The speed of the bus was relatively high while getting off the expressway. At that time the driver lost control. It hit several vehicles in front of the bus. Several private cars, a microbus and a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw were damaged in the blast.

OC Mahmudur Rahman also said that there were many students in the bus at the time of the accident. A few students were injured in the accident.

OC Mahmudur Rahman said about Dhaka University proctor that 5 to 6 students were injured in this accident. But their condition is not serious.
