Body of unidentified youth recovered from Buriganga

The naval police recovered the floating body of an unidentified person from Buriganga river. The police believe that the man is about 25 years old.

On Friday (April 10) the National Emergency Service 999 received the news and the floating body was recovered from the bank of the Buriganga River in Arsine Gate area, adjacent to the Buriganga Bridge under the jurisdiction of the Sadarghat Naval Police Station under the Dakshin Keraniganj police station.

The body has been sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital morgue for post-mortem.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadarghat Naval Police Station Sohag Rana said that no case has been filed in this regard till now. The body of an unidentified 25-year-old youth was found on the bank of the Buriganga river in Arsin Gate area, adjacent to the Buriganga bridge under the jurisdiction of the Sadarghat Naval Police Station under the Dakshin Keraniganj police station 999.

The Sadarghat Naval Police Station recovered the body in the presence of witnesses and prepared a report on the condition of the body and sent it to Mitford Hospital Morgue for post-mortem.

Initially, the identity of the deceased could not be identified. Attempts have been made by the PBI Finger Print Team to collect fingerprints for identification purposes. The deceased was wearing a black gingham and full pants.
