According to the notification, recently the brutal hacking of Pir Shamim Reza alias Jahangir in Kushtia’s Daulatpur and the attack on transgender people on homosexual charges in Shahbagh of the capital last Friday, insulting and unconstitutional statements against women members of Parliament and mass lawsuits have spread through the spread of vindictive political culture. It is ominous for a society and a state.

Apart from this, Mahila Parishad has complained that unethical behavior towards women political leaders and activists in the court premises continues as per the interim government.

Commenting on the decreasing trust of the people in the law enforcement agencies, Mahila Parishad said, these incidents prove that in the past, mob terrorism, arson, attacks on media and traditional cultural institutions, violence against minority communities, secret murders across the country, violence against women, spreading of various forms of hate and hateful speech, cyber bullying, etc., have not taken proper measures against any of the anarchic situations that have been created by the state. As a result, people’s trust and respect for the law and order of the state is decreasing.

Mahila Parishad feels that misogyny, hate mongering, brutality, extremism and taking law into hands cannot continue in a civilized society and state. Attacking people because of dissent, identity or lifestyle is a direct violation of human rights and against state constitutional values, which is the responsibility of democratic governments to prevent.

Seeking justice for each incident, the press release said, the current democratic government must play a proper role in preventing the recurrence of such incidents in the development of this anarchic situation. At the same time, the guilty persons involved in each incident should be identified and punished accordingly.

Mahila Parishad also said that the government, administration and all political parties should play a responsible role in the interest of the country to stop the vindictive political culture and ensure the safety of the people, establishment of good governance and stable situation in the country.
