BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Visits Iqbal Hasan Mahmud in Hospital

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Iqbal Hasan Mahmud, a member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee and the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, at a hospital in the capital on Wednesday. The visit was confirmed in a statement released on the official Facebook page of the BNP media cell.
The minister was admitted to Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital on Tuesday night after falling ill. According to his personal assistant, Abdullah Kayes, the minister had been suffering from fever, a cold, and a cough since Tuesday evening. He was brought to the hospital’s emergency department at approximately 10:30 p.m. and was subsequently transferred to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) for further observation.
During the visit on Wednesday morning, the President inquired about the minister’s physical condition. He consulted with the attending physicians to receive an update on the minister’s health status and treatment plan. The President spent time at the bedside of the minister during his stay at the hospital.
