BGB and BSF Chiefs Set for Four-Day Border Security Talks in New Delhi

The 57th director-general level border conference between the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) is scheduled to commence in New Delhi on June 8. The four-day diplomatic engagement, aimed at strengthening bilateral border management and cooperation, will conclude on June 11.

The BGB announced the details of the upcoming summit in a press release issued on Monday. The Bangladeshi delegation, consisting of 15 members, will be led by BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui.

The delegation comprises senior BGB officials alongside representatives from the Office of the Chief Adviser, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Shipping, the Department of Land Records and Surveys, and the Joint Rivers Commission.

The Indian delegation will be led by the Director General of the BSF. This group is slated to include senior BSF officials, as well as representatives from India’s Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs, and other relevant government agencies.
