Foreign travelers arriving in Bangladesh can now apply for on-arrival and transit visas through an integrated online portal. The service was officially launched on Wednesday, according to the immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Under the new system, travelers seeking entry or transit authorization may complete the necessary application process digitally before their arrival. Applicants can access the designated portal by scanning a QR code, which directs them to the official website to fill out the required forms.
Authorities stated that the initiative is designed to streamline immigration procedures and significantly reduce waiting times at the airport.
