A gold pendant in the donation box for mother’s recovery, along with an emotional note

A pair of gold pendants were found in the mosque of Sahebpara (Hanif Mor) area of Syedpur town of Nilphamari after opening the donation box of Ali (RA). Along with it was 7 thousand taka in cash and a touching note. The note read, ‘My mother is ill, please pray for her recovery.’
Syed Shahzada Alam, general secretary of the mosque committee, said on Wednesday that the donation box is opened every two months on Friday night in the presence of the committee members. Masjid committee members receive the special donation while opening the donation box as per the rules. This time the gold earrings and the note were found wrapped in a colored paper in the donation box.
Shahzada Alam also said, “We got emotional after reading Chirkut’s writing. It’s not just a donation; Rather, it is an expression of love and helplessness towards the mother of a child. We checked the value of the pendant through a local gold merchant and found out that its current market value is around 14 thousand taka.
The imam of the mosque, Hafez Akhtar, said, “This donation has touched the hearts of all of us. We don’t just see the value of donation, the intention behind it is great. May Allah give health to the one who donated. We all sincerely pray for him.
Osman Gani, president of the mosque committee, said that this donation will make an important contribution to the ongoing development of the mosque. More than that, this incident reminded the society of the true beauty of humanity, compassion and charity. At present, it has become necessary to cast the roof of the ablution of the newly built mosque. A request has been made by the committee to donate to the mosque.
