Hema-Kangana expressed anger over the non-passing of the Women’s Protection Bill

Apart from acting, Bollywood actresses Hema Malini and Kangana Ranaut are also playing an active role in politics. Currently, both of them are members of parliament. Recently, these two actresses have expressed their anger over the fact that the Women’s Protection Bill was not passed in the Lok Sabha. Actresses Hema Malini and Kangana Ranaut reacted to the non-passing of the Women’s Protection Bill. Both are deeply disappointed and call this day the worst day for women. 

Hema Malini wrote on social media that the Women’s Protection Bill was stalled in Parliament during yesterday’s parliamentary session. He said it was a sad day for women who were hoping for greater participation in national affairs. Personally I am quite disappointed. Because I spoke about the importance of the bill in Parliament just before the vote.

Regarding this bill, Kangana Ranaut said that what happened today (April 18) is very sad and painful. It’s a shame. The opposition claimed that by redrawing the boundaries, the government was doing injustice to certain regions, including South India and North-West. The opposition made it clear that while they supported the Women’s Reservation Bill, they opposed it on the grounds that the constitutional amendment would do injustice to several states. Since the bill was a constitutional amendment, it required a two-thirds majority to pass. The government did not have this number of votes in the assembly.

Notably, actress Kangana Ranaut was last seen in the released movie ‘Emergency’. She played the role of Indira Gandhi in this movie. He not only acted in it but also directed the movie. Next she will be seen in the movie ‘Circle’ opposite Ar Madhavan. Through this, he is going to step into Hollywood. On the other hand Hema Malini was last seen in the movie ‘Shimla Mirchi’ released in 2020. Since then Hema has not signed any other film.
