Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer Awarapan 2 crosses 100 crore mark at the Indian box office

Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer “Awarapan 2” has maintained a steady performance at the box office, entering its sixth day of theatrical release. As of Wednesday, the film recorded a net collection of 2.1 million rupees from 1,929 screenings, though final figures for the day are still being compiled.
According to data from the entertainment trade analysis firm Sacnilk, the film’s total domestic gross collection has reached 1.20 billion rupees, with net collections standing at 1.009 billion rupees. The film officially surpassed the 100-crore rupee milestone on Tuesday, following a consistent run since its August 14 premiere.
The film opened strongly with an estimated net collection of 220 million rupees on its first day. Bolstered by the Independence Day holiday on its second day, earnings surged to approximately 337.5 million rupees. By the end of its first weekend, the film had accumulated 817.5 million rupees. A steady performance on Monday saw an additional 92.5 million rupees in net earnings, sustaining the momentum leading into the 100-crore mark.
“Awarapan 2” serves as a sequel to the 2007 cult classic “Awarapan.” This romantic action drama continues the franchise’s exploration of themes such as love, sacrifice, and redemption. Emraan Hashmi reprises his lead role, though the sequel notably moves away from the intimate sequences that characterized the original film.
The project features a background score by Raju Singh, while the soundtrack includes compositions by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Mallik, Akhil Sachdeva, and Asif Ahmed. Industry analysts expect the final figures for the sixth day to shift slightly as all late-night show data is incorporated into the official tally.
