Dhaka concert of Indian artist Anupam Roy postponed by authorities

The highly anticipated concert featuring acclaimed West Bengal singer-songwriter Anupam Roy, originally scheduled for Wednesday in Dhaka, has been indefinitely postponed just 24 hours before the curtain was set to rise.
Organizers announced the delay on Tuesday, confirming that while all necessary administrative permissions had been secured, they received a directive from the Ministry of Home Affairs to suspend the event until further notice.
The concert, titled “One True Sound,” was slated to take place at the United Convention Center. Organized through a partnership between Yamaha Music Bangladesh and Triple Time Communications, the event was also set to feature a performance by the popular Bangladeshi musical ensemble Bengal Symphony.
In a statement addressing ticket holders, the organizers indicated that a revised date for the concert is expected to be announced within the next 24 hours. Should a new date prove unfeasible, the management has pledged to initiate a full refund process for those who purchased tickets.
