Actor Bappy Chowdhury Announces Plans for Year-End Marriage

Film actor Bappy Chowdhury has indicated that he may enter wedlock before the end of the year, finally addressing long-standing speculation regarding his personal life. Speaking to reporters on Friday while casting his vote in the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association election for the 2026-2028 term, the actor suggested that he is prepared to settle down if circumstances remain favorable.
The actor, who has previously dismissed persistent rumors of secret affairs or clandestine marriages, emphasized that he has no intention of keeping his wedding private. He stated that he intends to celebrate the occasion publicly, surrounded by his family, relatives, colleagues, and well-wishers, rather than opting for a quiet or hidden ceremony.
When questioned about whether he intends to pursue a love marriage or an arranged union, Chowdhury noted that while he prefers to choose his own partner, he remains committed to parental approval. He clarified that he would not proceed with a marriage unless it met with his father’s consent.
Since his debut in 2012, Chowdhury has appeared in numerous commercially successful films and has largely remained reserved regarding his private affairs. While his recent comments provide the clearest timeline to date for his nuptials, the actor stopped short of disclosing the identity of his future spouse or a specific date for the event.
