Father and son involved in conflict in Mymensingh expelled from BNP

A father-son tussle over a political dispute in Mymensingh’s Bhaluka has been expelled from the party. This information was informed in a notification signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party on the verified Facebook page of BNP on Tuesday evening.
Bhaluka Upazila BNP Joint Convener Ruhul Amin confirmed the information about the expulsion of the two.
According to the central BNP press release, a member of the convening committee of Bhaluka Upazila under Mymensingh district and the former president of Ward No. 4 of Jamirdia Union Md. Md. Khoka Mia and former student leader and Jamirdia Union BNP worker Tofail Ahmed (Rana) have been expelled from all levels of party positions including primary members of BNP.
According to police and local sources, Khoka Mia was a supporter of Fakhar Uddin Ahmed, the candidate of the grain of rice in the 13th National Assembly elections. His son Tofail Ahmed (Rana) was a supporter of BNP’s ‘rebel’ candidate Mohammad Morshed Alam. Tofael was the son of Khoka Mia’s first wife. Khoka Mia separated from his first wife about 10 years ago. There is a dispute between father and son about the politics of two sides of BNP. Tofail Ahmed opened his office on April 12 due to this dispute. At that time, when the father asked his men to close the office, the son was accused of shooting at the father. Two were injured. After the incident, the police conducted a raid and recovered six magazines full of fresh bullets, one fresh bullet and one bullet shell.
