Bangladesh Extends Deadline for Motor Vehicle Document Renewal Without Late Fees until October 29

The Bangladeshi government has extended the deadline for renewing motor vehicle documents and driving licenses without incurring late penalties.
According to a notification issued by the Road Transport and Highways Division under the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on Sunday, vehicle owners now have until October 29 to update their fitness certificates, tax tokens, route permits, and driving licenses by paying only the base taxes and fees.
The directive, issued with the consent of the Finance Division, specifies that this is the final extension granted for the regularization of motor vehicle documentation. The order takes effect immediately.
This decision provides a final opportunity for individuals and organizations that were previously unable to renew their vehicle-related documents within the mandated timeframes. By settling the primary taxes and administrative fees before the October 29 deadline, stakeholders can ensure their documentation remains compliant without the burden of additional late charges.
