Misbah Arshad Crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2026

Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan 2026, securing her place as the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the nation at the international Miss Universe pageant. The announcement was made during a gala event held in the Philippines.

During the ceremony, Josh Yugen, owner of the Miss Universe Pakistan franchise, presented Arshad with her official sash, while her predecessor, Roma Michael, placed the winner’s crown upon her. Arshad, a psychology student, earned the title following a final question-and-answer session where she impressed the judging panel.

Responding to a query from Filipino singer and actor Bailey May regarding which version of herself—her 10-year-old self or her 80-year-old self—would pose the more difficult question, Arshad stated that her younger self would be the greater challenge. She noted that her 10-year-old self would ask how her life had unfolded, to which she would reply that while she faced numerous failures, she consistently persevered. She remarked that life is a cycle to be embraced, adding that just as fire purifies gold, struggles refine character.

This marks Arshad’s third appearance on an international stage, having previously represented Pakistan at Miss International 2023 in Japan and Miss Supranational 2024 in Poland. Reflecting on her journey, she emphasized that success is not defined by external accolades but by resilience and personal growth. She is now set to compete in the 75th Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in Puerto Rico.

The Miss Universe Pakistan franchise was established in 2023. Erica Robin became the country’s first representative that year, achieving a historic placement in the top 20 during the competition in El Salvador. Subsequent representatives included Noor Xarmina in 2024 and Roma Michael in 2025. Following her tenure, Michael transitioned into the role of national director for the franchise, overseeing the training and preparation of new contestants.
