Tahaffuze Khatme Nabuwat Bangladesh has announced plans to demand the official state declaration of the Ahmadiyya community as non-Muslims during an upcoming national Ulema-Mashayekh conference. Maulana Mohiuddin Rabbani, secretary-general of the organization, confirmed that the assembly is scheduled to take place this Saturday, August 15, at the Institution of Engineers in Ramna, Dhaka.
Speaking at a preparatory meeting held at the Jamia Mohammadia TNT Colony Madrasa in Banani on Wednesday night, Maulana Rabbani stated that the organization intends to intensify its ongoing movement to secure this demand. He emphasized that the upcoming conference serves as a strategic platform to consolidate support among religious scholars, mosque imams, and khatibs from across the country.
During the meeting, Rabbani stressed the importance of raising public awareness regarding the doctrine of Khatme Nabuwat, which he described as a fundamental tenet of Islamic faith. He urged participants to advocate for their objectives through organized and peaceful means. The leadership expressed that the conference would serve as a focal point for religious figures to articulate their grievances and demands on a national scale.
The preparatory session was presided over by Mufti Muhammad Noman, principal of Jamia Mohammadia TNT Colony Madrasa. Other prominent figures in attendance included Joint Secretary General Mufti Kifayatullah Azhari, along with Maulana Mujibur Rahman Hamidi, Maulana Abdul Qaiyum Qasemi, Maulana Wajed Ali, and Maulana Salman Bin Noman.
In a related development, a separate preparatory meeting was convened on Thursday afternoon by the Tejgaon branch of the organization at the Jamia Islamia Jamiria Tibbat Colony Bazar Madrasa to ensure the success of the Saturday event.
