Actor Ashraful Haque arrested at Dhaka airport in connection with Salman Shah murder case

Actor Ashraful Haque, widely known as Don, has been arrested in connection with the murder case of popular film star Salman Shah.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that Don was taken into custody on Sunday afternoon at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Immigration police detained the actor before handing him over to a team from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is currently spearheading the investigation into the case.
Kamrul Hassan Talukdar, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Airport Police Station, stated that the arrest was executed by immigration officers, following which the CID assumed custody of the suspect.
Jasim Uddin, the Special Superintendent of Police (Media) for the CID, confirmed that the arrest was made with the assistance of airport immigration authorities. He further noted that the accused has been produced before a court of law.
The legal proceedings follow a landmark development last year, when a court ordered a formal murder investigation into the death of Salman Shah, nearly 29 years after the actor passed away. A case was subsequently registered, leading to the ongoing probe and the recent arrest.
