Preparing to make masks in New Year’s colors

Bengali New Year is only a few days away. All around is busy preparing for the festival. Chittagong district art academy now has the same colorful mood. Masks of various shapes are being made from paint and paper-cloth. Sometimes a tiger, sometimes a bird, sometimes a folk motif—the impression of Bengali culture and tradition is evident in every work. By participating in a three-day workshop organized by the academy, the students are learning mask-making techniques, as well as expressing their talent and imagination. Step-by-step under the supervision of the trainers, their colorful preparation will make the joy of Paila Boishakh more lively. This is the story of this film.
