Tractor Overturn Kills Farmer in Subarnachar
A farmer was killed when a tractor carrying chicken feed overturned in Bangladesh’s Suvarnachar Upazila on Monday.
Mohammad Rahim Ullah, 25, was riding atop the tractor as it transported feed to his farm in the Karim Bazar area of Mohammadpur Union. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. when the tractor, driven by an unidentified driver, lost control while navigating a turn near the market and plunged into a roadside canal.
Ullah was crushed beneath the overturned tractor and died at the scene. Local residents and relatives recovered his body and took it to his home.
Nurul Afsar, a local ward member, confirmed the death. He reported that the tractor was carrying feed to Ullah’s chicken farm when the accident happened.
The officer-in-charge of Char Jabbar Police Station, Mohammad Lutfor Rahman, stated that the police had not yet been informed about the accident but would investigate and take necessary legal action.
