Visiting the capital’s five filling stations, no long queues were seen anywhere for fuel. Sometimes two, sometimes 10 to 15 vehicles were waiting in line for fuel. Customers received the oil after a short wait. They say the situation is almost normal. However, there is some shortfall in oil supply.

After the start of the Iran war, there were long queues at the capital’s filling stations until a few days ago. Waiting for fuel oil from night till morning. But today it was a different picture.

This situation was seen in the filling stations of Shahid Bagh, Arambagh, Matsya Bhavan, Motijheel areas of the capital on Tuesday.

At around 10:50 am, it was seen that only two motorcycle drivers were taking fuel at Rajarbagh filling station in Shahidbagh. No more motorcycles in line for oil. Even a few days ago, there was a long queue of motorcycles and private cars for fuel at this filling station at this time of the morning. Today, three to four private cars were seen taking oil.

Around 11:30 am, 10 to 15 private cars were seen standing in line at M/s HK filling station at Arambagh. The motorcycle line is empty. The private car driver who came to take oil at this filling station. Shahjahan said, “I stood in the line a while ago, the oil has not arrived at the pump yet. Says the oil will arrive shortly. I will really get the oil.”

At around 12 noon, the same picture was seen at the Karim and Sons filling station in Motijheel. A week ago, more than a thousand cars including motorcycles and private cars were waiting for fuel at this filling station. There are no cars in line today. Sometimes two motorcycles and private cars come and leave with oil.

Abdus Salam, the owner of this filling station, said, “Now there are no long lines like before. The situation has returned to normal. But we are getting a little less diesel than before. For now, there is no problem with octane.”

Ramna filling station at Matsya Bhavan intersection of the capital is seen around 1 pm, there is no line for oil here either. Little by little, motorcycles and private cars come and take oil without lines.

Motorcycle ride share driver who came to get oil. Swapan said, “Even if there is no suffering now, the price is a little high. It would be good for us to lower the price a bit. People don’t pay more rent than before.”
