Bangladesh-New Zealand first international T20 in Chittagong, know the possible XI

After the ODI series, the three-match T20 series will begin today in Chittagong. The two teams will face each other for the first time in the international T20 at the Chittagong ground. This match will be held at Birshrestha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium.

Earlier, Bangladesh and New Zealand have never met in Chittagong in T20 format. All the previous matches of the two teams in this edition were played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Playing 6 matches there, Bangladesh won and lost equal number of matches.

However, Kiwis have experience playing in T20 format in Chittagong. In the 2014 T20 World Cup, they played against Sri Lanka at this venue and were defeated by 59 runs.

In the T20 format on Chittagong’s batting-friendly wicket, if you take the bat first, you have to score big runs, if you bat later, you have to chase big runs – this is what history says. So the batters have no option to show their power in this field.

Tiger bowlers have been performing consistently in both categories of bowling. This time it is possible to get good results only if you can maintain the continuity of that performance.

Like ODIs, the New Zealand team is somewhat inexperienced in this format as well. However, Kiwi captain Tom Latham wants to fight with the maximum with those who are there.
