The army chief returned to the country after his visit to Malaysia

Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman returned to the country on Wednesday after his visit to Malaysia. This information was informed in a press release of the Directorate of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

According to the press release, as a representative of the Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tariq Rahman, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman participated in the exhibition ‘The Defense Services Asia (DSA) and National Security Asia (NATSHEC)-2026′ held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There he visited various countries’ modern defense systems, electronic warfare technology, security and war equipment.

Besides, the Chief of Army Staff participated in the 8th Putrajaya Forum organized under the theme of ‘Asian Security at the Emerging Technologies’. During the visit, he had a courtesy call on the relevant representatives of Malaysia and discussed various aspects of defense related issues, joint initiatives, joint training and mutual cooperation exchanges. The Army Chief went to Malaysia on an official visit on April 19.
