Motorcyclist killed in head-on collision with microbus in Khagrachari

A collision between a microbus and a motorcycle in Guimara, Khagrachhari, left one person dead on Saturday. The incident occurred around 12:00 p.m. near the BGB Sector Hospital on the Khagrachhari-Chattogram highway in the Jaliapara area.

The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Shuddho Ong Marma, a resident of Paglapara village in the Patachhara union of Ramgarh Upazila. He was the son of Ruichai Marma.

Witnesses reported that the victim was traveling toward Ramgarh on his motorcycle after departing from Guimara Bazaar. The motorcycle collided head-on with an oncoming speeding microbus, resulting in the immediate death of Shuddho Ong Marma at the scene.

Officer-in-Charge of Guimara Police Station, Md. Sohrawardi, stated that the driver and passengers of the microbus fled the area immediately following the collision. Police have since seized the vehicle and remain on-site to conduct an investigation. Authorities have notified the family of the deceased regarding the fatality.
