Man stabbed to death during robbery in Dhaka Kadamtali area

A 35-year-old man identified as Johnny was fatally stabbed during an apparent robbery attempt in the Kadamtali area of the capital early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the Baroitola area of Nama Shyampur. Law enforcement officials reported that the victim, a CNG-run autorickshaw driver, was targeted by muggers while navigating the area. Johnny was a resident of the Nabarun Lane neighborhood near the Shyampur Bridge and was the son of Tota Mistri.
Following the attack, police arrived at the scene and transported the critically injured man to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Medical personnel declared him dead upon his arrival at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Ashrafuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kadamtali Police Station, confirmed the details of the incident and stated that authorities have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in the killing.
The victim’s body has been transferred to the hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination. Police are continuing their search for those responsible as the investigation remains ongoing.
