Vision of education will be skill development and career building: Bobby Hajjaz

Bobby Hajjaz, Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education said, many commissions were formed on education in our country, there are policies. But, proper quality improvement of education was not possible. Because, our country had no vision of education.

He said, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman has fixed a vision for us. The vision of education will be skill enhancement and career building.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaz said this in the speech of the chief guest at the seminar titled ‘Role of teachers and the state in improving the quality of education’ at Tarab Municipal Auditorium of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj on Sunday (April 12).

Rupganj education officers, primary and secondary school teachers participated in the seminar.

State Minister Bobby Hajjaz said that the current government is working to make the education system modern and practical. Emphasis is placed not only on certificate-based education, but also on skill development, innovative thinking and job-oriented skills of students. 

The state minister said that there is a shortage of skilled human resources in our country. That’s why foreigners are working in various sectors including the garment sector in our country and getting salary. Neighboring country India is earning huge foreign exchange by exporting skilled manpower. Due to lack of skills, the boys and girls of our country are not given jobs in these positions. 

He urged all concerned to work collectively for the promotion of skill based education and reiterated the government’s commitment to improve the quality of education.

Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj. Narayanganj-1 (Rupganj) Member of Parliament Mustafizur Rahman Bhuiyan Dipu, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Munsi of Narayanganj district were present as special guests in the seminar presided over by Raihan Kabir.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Rupganj gave a welcome speech at the seminar. Saiful Islam and Professor of Education and Research Institute of Dhaka University were present as the main discussant. Md. Abdus Salam
