RAB has arrested two more in connection with the killing of the leader of the ‘Kishore gang’ in Mohammadpur of the capital. At this time, two mobile phones were seized from them. Police and RAB arrested six people in this murder case so far.
A ‘Kishore gang’ leader named Emon Hossain alias ‘Alex Emon’ was publicly hacked to death in Mohammadpur of the capital last Sunday. Eamon Kishore was the head of the teenage gang ‘Alex Group’. He was killed in a conflict with another group over a stolen mobile phone. Before the murder, the police initially learned that there was a back and forth chase between them on Sunday morning. Residents of the area are in panic after the murder. In this incident, Emon’s mother Ferdausi Begum filed a case at Mohammadpur Police Station as the plaintiff. 21 people have been accused in the case.
According to RAB sources, a team of RAB 2 identified the location of the accused with the help of information technology and intelligence. Later, accused No. 13 of the case. Rana (37) was arrested from Pulpar Battala area of West Jaffrabad in Mohammadpur and accused number 14 Russell alias Picchi Russell (25) from a road in Kaderabad housing area.
A Redmi Note 11S Android phone and an Itel Android phone were seized from Rana during the arrest. In addition, the third accused in the case. RAB said that two domestic sharp weapons (Samurai) used in the murder case were recovered from Arman’s house.
RAB-2 Assistant Director Hasan Muhammad Muhtarim told Prothom Alo that two people have been arrested in connection with the murder. Efforts are on to arrest the rest. He said that the operation of RAB against robbers, extortionists and squatters is continuing.
Sources related to the investigation say that the opponent group hacked Emon to death due to conflict over control of extortion, extortion, and control of drug trade in the Mohammadpur area.
