BGB Repels Indian Border Force Attempt to Push Four Citizens into Bangladesh

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) forces successfully blocked an attempt by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to push four Indian nationals, including one woman and three children, across the border into Bangladesh on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred near the Ketranga border point in the Boxmahmud union of Parshuram, Feni, at approximately 3:30 p.m. According to BGB officials, BSF personnel attempted to force the group across the international boundary, but they were intercepted by BGB troops stationed at the Ketranga border outpost with the assistance of local residents.

Lieutenant Colonel M. M. Zillur Rahman, commander of the BGB 4th Battalion in Feni, confirmed the incident and stated that the BGB has lodged a strong protest with the BSF regarding the attempt. He emphasized that the BGB maintains a strict stance against illegal incursions along the Feni border.

Security remains heightened along the frontier, with BGB units instructed to stay on high alert to prevent any unauthorized crossings or further provocations. Officials reiterated that the BGB is prepared to manage any untoward situation to ensure border integrity remains intact.
