Two killed in Bogra road accident
Two people, including an auto-rickshaw driver, were killed in a collision with a dump truck in Patnitala Upazila of Naogaon district. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on Sunday night at the Gahon More area of the Naogaon-Dhamoirhat road.
The deceased have been identified as auto-rickshaw driver Abu Hasan, 46, of Sujail area in Mahadebpur Upazila, and Tarikul Islam, 45, son of Ochi Uddin of Durgapur area in Dhamoirhat Upazila.

According to police and local residents, driver Abu Hasan was en route from Naogaon’s Nijoipur municipality towards Fatepur Bazar in Dhamoirhat Upazila with his battery-powered auto-rickshaw. The vehicle collided with a dump truck coming from the opposite direction at Gahon More. Both Abu Hasan and passenger Tarikul Islam died at the scene. Police recovered their bodies from the site after being alerted.
Niamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Patnitala Police Station, confirmed that the bodies were recovered on Sunday night and handed over to the families on Monday morning after legal procedures. The driver of the dump truck fled the scene with the vehicle, and has not yet been apprehended.
