Two children went missing in Mominpur area of ​​Chandpur Sadar Upazila after going down to bathe in Dakatiya river on Sunday afternoon. The diving team of the fire service recovered the body of a child from the middle of the river in the afternoon. No trace of the other child was found till evening.

The dead child’s name is Shahadat (6). He is the son of Mohammad Ali of Mominpur area of ​​Bagadi Union. Missing child Mahmud (7) of the same area. Son of Mainuddin.

Local people said that today at around 12:30 noon, three children went to bathe together in Dakatiya river after returning home from school. One of them took a bath but the other two children were swept away by the current. Chandpur Fire Service’s diving team recovered one’s body after receiving information. As the other child was not found till evening, the rescue operation was suspended.
