The hanging body of the village policeman was recovered

The hanging body of a member of the village police was recovered in Lalpur upazila of Natore. The incident took place in North Lalpur village of the upazila on Tuesday night.

The name of the deceased is Alamin Biswas (28). He is the son of Humayun Kabir Biswas of the same village.

According to family sources, Alamin remarried after breaking up with his first wife. Alamin’s relationship with him was not going well. His second wife left his father’s house about three months ago. Alamin entered his room at around 11 pm yesterday. His mother Manwara Begum found the door of the room closed from inside while giving food at around 11:20. After calling the neighbors, they broke the door and found Alamin hanging from the ceiling of the house with a rope. By then he had died.

Alamin was suffering from depression since his second wife left his father’s house, mother Manowara Begum said, Alamin was unable to respond immediately after talking to Jannatul on video call last night. Later he was rescued by breaking the door.

Alamin’s mother filed a wrongful death case in the police station as a plaintiff in this incident. Confirming the matter, Lalpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam said that it could not be confirmed whether he committed suicide while talking on the video call.
