Schoolboy who went missing while buying khichuri for his mother in Barisal, rescued in Cox’s Bazar after four days

A teenager was roaming in the Eidgah market of Eidgaon Sadar in Cox’s Bazar around 3 o’clock on Tuesday. The matter was noticed by a local businessman. He went to Kishore and asked why he was wandering. He was suspicious of the inconsistency in the boy’s words. Then he informed the police. The police reached the spot and rescued the teenager and took him to the police station.
Eidgah Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Sunil Barua said the juvenile’s name is Saurabh Das (13). He is a seventh standard student of a school in Barisal Nagar. Saurabh went missing at around 9:30 pm on May 2 while going to buy khichuri for his mother. After four days he was rescued from Eidgaon. How and who brought the boy from Barisal to Cox’s Bazar, the reason is being investigated.

Stating that Sourav is in police custody, SI Sunil Barua said that two long-distance bus tickets and 10 rupees were found in his (Sourav’s) pocket when the boy was rescued from Eidgah market in the early hours. During police interrogation, Sauraj said that while buying khichuri, a stranger asked him for the address. He doesn’t remember anything after that.
According to the police officer, it may be the work of the ‘Satan’s breath’ cycle. Now Saurabh is healthy, he can talk.

The process of handing over Sourav to them is going on. Barisal Police will reveal the reason or mystery of how the boy came from Barisal to Cox’s Bazar.
Uncle Deepta Kumar Ghosh said that Saurabh left home to buy khichuri for his mother on May 2 at around 9:30 pm. At that time he went to a shop and collected 8 thousand rupees from Bikash. Since then he has been missing. The same night Sourav’s mobile phone was recovered from a school ground, picked up by a stranger. He filed a General Diary (GD) in Kaunia police station of Barisal in this incident.
Mother Mitu Rani Das was worried after not finding her son for four days. After getting the news of the rescue from Cox’s Bazar, the mother said, Sourav was waiting in front of the shop after ordering khichuri. At that time a person asked to know the address, immediately Saurabh lost consciousness. The mother claims that her son was abducted in a planned manner. People involved in this incident need to be quickly identified and brought under the law.
