Jubodal President Munna Distributes Flood Relief to Thousands in Chittagong

Abdul Monayem Munna, president of the central executive committee of the Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, led a relief effort in the flood-affected regions of Banshkhali and Satkania in Chattogram on Sunday to provide essential support to thousands of displaced residents.
During the visit, Munna was documented navigating chest-deep floodwaters while personally delivering supplies to families struggling in the wake of the deluge. The relief mission, which reached approximately 1,000 households, was organized under the directives of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.

Addressing the situation on the ground, Munna emphasized that the organization’s presence was a sincere commitment to public service rather than a symbolic gesture. He noted that the floodwaters in Banshkhali continue to rise, necessitating an urgent response from both local and central party leaders. Beyond immediate food and supply distribution, the Juba Dal has deployed medical teams to provide critical health services to the affected populations.
The distribution effort was supported by a delegation of senior party officials, including former central vice-president Mosharraf Hossain, vice-presidents Mahafuzur Rahman and Ferdous Munna, and former city Juba Dal general secretary Mohammad Shahed. Key representatives from the Chattogram South and North district student wings, including Mohammad Shahajan, Azgar Hossain, and Hasan Jasim, also participated in the initiative. Local leadership confirmed that relief activities remain ongoing as the recovery operation continues across the two districts.
