Iranian delegation has arrived in Pakistan

An Iranian delegation has arrived in Islamabad to discuss a ceasefire with US officials. They reached Islamabad on Friday (April 10) night. This information was given by Iranian media.

Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported that the delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bakr Ghalibaf, included Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi, the Secretary of the Defense Council, the Governor of the Central Bank of Iran and several lawmakers.

After reaching Islamabad, the delegation was welcomed by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan’s lower house Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance has left for Pakistan to participate in high-level talks with Iran. Speaking to the media on the eve of his departure from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, he expressed his optimism about the diplomatic mission. 

The eyes of political analysts around the world are now on this meeting in Pakistan. It is through these discussions that the future security and lasting peace of the Middle East can be determined. The visit is being seen as a possible turning point in the easing of tensions between the US and Iran. If everything goes well, the representatives of the United States and Iran will sit for talks in Islamabad on Saturday morning.
