A protest rally including human chain was held in Brahmanbaria to protest against the conspiracy to grab the land of ‘Sursamrat Di Alauddin Sangeetangan’ established at the house of classical music great Sursamrat Ustad Alauddin Khan. The program was organized in front of the music hall under the banner of Brahmanbaria’s angry cultural activists stage around 11 o’clock on Friday. The human chain and protest rally organized under the banner of Brahmanbaria Vikshuvd Sanshtikakarim Manch was chaired by Abdun Noor, the founder of Vikshuvd Sanstikkarim Manch and president of Praksha Sanstik Kendra. The speakers said, not only the Asia subcontinent is famous, but the world-renowned composer Ustad Alauddin Khan Brahmanbaria is the pride of the entire Bangladesh. Reactionary factions tried to destroy the institution by arson several times in 2016 and 2021 but failed. Sursamrat Ustad Alauddin Khan founded Sursamrat Di Alauddin Music Hall in his own house in old district road area of ​​district town. The institution has been running for a long time with various government support. But recently, the true face of a land grabbing cycle is being exposed to the public with the attempt to grab land by Sursamrat Di Alauddin Sangeetanga through fake documents.

The Culture Worker Manch has called upon everyone to unite regardless of party affiliation to protect the place of Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeetanga from the hands of land grabbers. The speakers strongly condemned and protested against such abominable attempts by Bhumiheko Chakra in human chain. Besides, the implementation process of the ongoing Ustad Alauddin Khan Cultural Complex project was demanded to be completed quickly. After the protest rally, a protest march was taken out on the same demand. The procession circled the main main road of the district town and ended in front of the Brahmanbaria Press Club.

The judge issued a no-cost decree and directed the deputy commissioner to revise the BS survey. As a result, the existence of Alauddin Music Hall is threatened.

As seen on the surface, Sursamrat Di Alauddin Music Hall has eight rooms and an auditorium. There is a museum in one of the rooms. No pond was found inside the music hall. No family was seen living there. There is no trace of eight percent of the space in front of the music hall. It was not possible to contact any of Alauddin Khan’s relatives in this regard.
