Five and a half liters of fuel oil was hidden inside the house, one person was fined
Five and a half thousand liters of diesel and octane have been seized from a house in Noakhali’s Senbag upazila in a mobile court raid. In this incident, a person named Iqbal Bhuiyan was fined 50 thousand rupees by the mobile court.
These fuel oils were recovered from Bhuiyanbari of Madhya Kadra village of Senbag municipality on Tuesday afternoon. These fuels are scheduled to be sold in the local market on Wednesday.
According to mobile court sources, among the recovered fuel oil there are four thousand liters of diesel, one and a half thousand liters of octane. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Noor Payara Begum conducted the operation of the mobile court. The police of Senbag police station assisted in the operation.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Noor Payara Begum told Prothom Alo that these fuels were stored in large drums and plastic jars inside the house. The person named Ishtiaq Bhuiyan, who stored these oils, has been fined Rs 50,000 under the Consumer Rights Protection Act.
