Festive atmosphere in Bogra around the arrival of the Prime Minister, he will visit his ancestral home

After almost two decades tomorrow, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman is coming to Ziabari, his ancestral home in Bagbari village of Gabtali upazila in Bogra. All preparations have been completed for the Prime Minister’s visit. There is a festive atmosphere in the area.
Around the visit of Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tariq Rahman, the roads of Bogra city and the necessary infrastructure have been swept and cleaned. Circuit House, District Judge Court, Bogra Municipal Building and Baitur Rahman Central Mosque have been decorated. The construction of the stage at the historic Altafunnesa playground, the venue of the Prime Minister’s rally, has also been completed.
Meanwhile, extensive preparations have also been made in Bagbari village of Gabtali upazila. Bagbari Shaheed Zia Degree College and BNP founder late Ziaur Rahman’s ancestral Vita Ziabari has been renovated. Roads in the area have been renovated.
Late President Ziaur Rahman’s village home is in Bagbari village of Gabtali upazila. That house is known as Jiabari. The location of that village is about 17 km away from Bogra city. Going to Bagbari last Saturday, it was seen that the dilapidated house has been renovated. The road in front of the house has also been newly constructed.
According to district administration sources, Prime Minister Tariq Rahman will leave for Bogra by road next morning. He will reach Bogra Circuit House at 10:30 AM. Then at 11 am the District Judge will inaugurate the newly constructed building of the District Lawyers’ Association (Bar Association) in the court premises. Prime Minister will unveil the inaugural plaque of ‘Bogra City Corporation’ at Bogra Town Hall at 11:30 am.
After that, the Prime Minister will go to Bagbari village of Gabtali Upazila, his ancestral home by road. He will inaugurate the family card distribution program at Bagbari Shaheed Zia Degree College grounds and address the gathering. Later he will inaugurate the excavation of Chowkirdah Canal which runs by Bagbari village.
The Prime Minister will return to Bogra Circuit House by road at two o’clock. He will address the public meeting organized by the district BNP at the historical Altafunnecha playground at 4 pm as the chief guest. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly constructed Bogra Press Club building at 6:30 pm. Later he will leave for Dhaka by road. On his way back he will halt at the Rural Development Academy (RDA) in Bogra.
Bogra District BNP Acting General Secretary and Member of Parliament Mosharf Hossain said that all preparations have been completed to welcome Prime Minister Tarek Rahman. The construction of the public meeting stage at the historic Altafunnesa playground has been completed. Bogra is now a festival city based on the announcement of the City Corporation.
