Abir, a sixth-grade student and an avid supporter of Argentina, was unable to purchase an official team flag due to his family’s financial constraints. Determined to show his support, the boy—whose father works as a local factory laborer—hand-stitched together scraps of white and light-blue plastic to create his own banner, which he proudly hoisted on a bamboo pole in his family’s courtyard.
