Driver’s assistant who was killed while running to board the bus after picking up passengers in Mirpur

The driver’s assistant died after tripping while boarding a moving bus at Mirpur-2 in the capital. The accident took place on the road in front of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday morning.

Mirpur Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Hossain said that a bus was going to Pirojpur from Mirpur around 8:30 am. Hafeez tried to run when the bus left after picking up the passengers. At that time, he fell down and died on the spot.
Later his body was recovered and sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College morgue for autopsy.

The police said that efforts are underway to arrest the bus with the driver.
