Compulsory retirement of 17 senior police officers

The government today (May 3) sent 17 DIGs and Additional DIGs of BCS (Police) cadre working in Bangladesh Police on compulsory retirement. This order has been given in the public interest as per the provisions of section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018 in the notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Earlier on April 22, 13 more DIGs and additional DIGs were similarly retired. The retired officials include Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, Imtiaz Ahmed and other top officials.
