Central leader of NCP Tarek Reza arrested in Jhenaidah Chhatra Dal case

Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) central joint member secretary Tarek Reza has been arrested by the police in a case filed by a Chhatra Dal leader in Jhenaidah. The police of Jhenaidah Sadar police station arrested him in front of a community center on Kabi Sukant road in the city at around 6:30 pm on Sunday.

According to district NCP sources, the NCP organized a press conference at the Family Zone Community Center in the city to protest the arrest of Jatiya Yubo Shakti leader Ayan Rahman in the Chhatra Dal leader’s case. Tarek Reza was going to participate in the press conference. Police arrested him from there.

In this incident, on the night of May 22, NCP leader Tarek Reza filed a case against the president, general secretary, former president and convener of the Islamic University, including 123 people. In this incident, on the morning of May 23, Enamul Kabir, the former president of District Chhatra Dal, filed a counter-suing in the name of 60 unknown people, including 22 NCP leaders and anti-discrimination student movement leaders, including NCP leader Tarek Reza. After arresting Ayan Rahman Khan, the District Detective Police (DB) also arrested Tarek Reza in this case.
