Boishakhi Fair of Gulshan Society in various arrangements

On the occasion of Bengali New Year 1433, the Gulshan Society organized the Baisakhi fair. On the first day of Bengali New Year, this fair is held at Lake Park in Gulshan from Tuesday afternoon.

The Baisakhi fair had a variety of handicrafts exhibitions, clothing and children’s toys collection. All kinds of food were organized.

The event started with a performance by Parampara Sangeet Academy at the fair. Then in the evening artist Rezwana Chowdhury Banya performed Rabindra Sangeet. One of the accessories of this colorful event was the exhibition of painters.

In the evening, US Ambassador to Dhaka Brent Christensen, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan, Gulshan Society President Omar Sadat and others visited the fair.

Ambassador Brent Christensen visited the fair and praised the event and Bengali culture and music. The ambassador said that he had recently arrived in Dhaka and felt happy to participate in such an event. He felt that Bengalis are an advanced nation in culture and civilization.

Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Khan said, “We are cooperating in these arrangements. We want the citizens to be part of the festival. We want such an arrangement from all the societies.

Omar Sadat, president of Gulshan Society, said about the organization, “A city is not just a concrete building, but to save the city, people must be involved in various activities.” That’s why we have this event. If we can involve the city residents in these arrangements, we will be able to build a beautiful city.
